Why Film Wedding Photography Feels So Different
Film photography doesn’t just document — it elevates. From the grain to the glow, every frame carries intention. There’s no endless clicking, no do-overs. Instead, it’s a slow, soulful process that invites presence — both from me and from the moment itself. The result? Images that feel more like memories than media.

My Approach as a Hybrid Film Wedding Photographer

While I haven’t photographed a wedding entirely on film yet, I specialize in a hybrid approach that blends the timeless beauty of film with the flexibility of digital. I shoot with medium format, 35mm, and Super 8 — using each format with purpose. Film helps me slow down, see differently, and capture the soul of the day.

What couples ask me the most
- Do we still get digital files? Yes — every roll of film is professionally scanned and delivered in high-resolution, right alongside your digital gallery (example below).
- Is film risky? Experience and preparation matter. I anticipate moments and shoot with confidence — not on a whim, but with trained instinct. I also make sure to have several different cameras in the event something happens to one of the film cameras.

Why It Matters
You’re not just hiring someone to take pictures — you’re choosing how you want to remember this chapter of your life. Film photography turns fleeting moments into timeless heirlooms. There’s depth, texture, and artistry baked into every frame. These are the kinds of photos that hang in your home, not just live on your phone.
