Super 8 wedding films are making a major comeback and here’s why! A Different Kind of Motion Super 8 isn’t your typical wedding video. It’s grainy, imperfect, and real — like a memory unfolding. It captures movement in a way that feels vintage, dreamy, and raw.
What I Love About It
Shooting on Super 8 lets me tell your story in motion, but with the same artistry I bring to stills. It’s not about documenting everything. It’s about capturing emotion in the in-between: the laughter, the soft touches, the genuine spark in a glance.
Perfect for Elopements, Welcome Parties, Intimate Moments, Bachelorette Parties, and even weddings. You don’t need a full video team. Super 8 is perfect for those extra chapters — from the welcome dinner to the quiet walk back to the villa, and everything in between. It complements photography without trying to replace it.
What is Super 8 mm?
Super 8 is a motion picture film format first introduced in the 1960s. It uses a small cartridge of film to record short clips, resulting in dreamy, nostalgic visuals full of soft movement and glowing grain. It’s the kind of film your grandparents might have used — now reimagined for modern love stories.
How it works?
I shoot Super 8 on a vintage film camera, capturing about 3 minutes of footage per roll. After the wedding, the film is professionally developed, digitally transferred, and lightly edited. What you receive is a short, artistic wedding film that looks and feels like it belongs on a projector — in the best possible way.

How can we incorporate Super 8 into your wedding day?
Super 8 works beautifully for:
Getting ready moments with parents or friends
The walk down the aisle
Champagne toasts at sunset
A dreamy post-ceremony portrait walk
Intimate vows or elopement storytelling
Because of its timeless quality, Super 8 adds depth and romance to the most meaningful parts of your day — and gives you something that feels truly one-of-a-kind.
If you want more than a highlight reel — if you want movement that makes you feel something — let’s talk about adding Super 8 to your wedding day. It’s honest. It’s timeless. And it’s magic on motion picture film. Our couples have the option to add this on to any wedding collection.
